Pleats & Patterns

August 10, 2015

After a nice relaxing weekend in the Hamptons with my family,  this Monday came with a serious case of the Monday blues. Thankfully the girls and I had planned to get together for a home-cooked meal New York style. We had a chef fromKitchen Surfing come over and cook us a gorgeous meal from their Monday menu: Greek Branzino with Roasted Potatoes and Haricots Verts. It was a great catch up after the weekend and a very relaxing way to do dinner. It’s been a busy few weeks between work, setting up my new website (which will be ready any day now), travelling and getting things organised to go home – and it’s not going to slow down any time soon. I’m heading to Milwaukee for work on Thursday followed by a quick day trip to Chicago afterwards.

It’s definitely nice to take a break and just chill out at home for a while every now and again – so that’s exactly what tonight was. Anyone who is New York based & is interested in trying Kitchen Surfing out, they have different menus for every day, they bring all the ingredients & cooking utensils and they clean up afterwards – all you need to do is supply plates. It was so delicious and unbelievably easy – it really is the perfect night in. If you plan on trying it out, be sure to use the code lou1409 at the checkout to get $25 off. Check out my Snapchat (lou1409) for more snaps.
