Sorry I’ve been MIA on here the last week or so. It’s been a crazy busy time, I’ve been apartment hunting, starting a new job, starting a new course and celebrating my birthday. I’m now a year older, and hoping 23 is as good to me as 22 was.
I arrived back in Ireland last Saturday and started work on Monday – which is probably insane with jetlag and all the things I had to organise but I was excited to get straight into it.
As much as I was looking forward to things about home, I was really sad to be leaving New York. I feel like I’m not done with it yet, but after a week and a half at home I’m happy to be back on Irish soil again. The fact that it didn’t rain the first 6 days I was home definitely helped.
So the update is:
I have found a new apartment and I move in on Sunday. It’s in the city centre so I’ll be able to walk to work and to most places in the city which is ideal. I’m really looking forward decorating, I’ve been spending way to much time on Pinterest looking for ideas and a trip to IKEA is most definitely on the cards!
I have settled into my new role in Tourism Ireland in Dublin. Moving offices after your first year of work is a tough thing to do. I felt like I had really settled. I loved who I worked with and understood the office dynamics. Starting all over again in an even bigger office was scary, but I really think that the more you push yourself outside of your comfort zone the more you learn. “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you” and all that. Everyone in the new office is so lovely and this year I’m mainly working in digital publicity, so I will be working with a lot of bloggers which I’m excited about.
I’m also mental busy with college work. As I’ve mentioned before I am doing a Post-Grad degree in International Business Development while I’m working, and tomorrow I’m starting an online fashion course with Teen Vogue and Parsons School of Fashion Design in New York which I am so excited about!!! Anyone who knows me or follows my blog knows how much I love fashion – so I’m over the moon to have the opportunity to study it. I’ll be doing blog posts with all the different aspects of the course over the next ten weeks which will also be published on TeenVogue.com, so anyone who would be interested in doing something similar will have all the information. I will have a full blog post up later this week with all the details on that!
That’s all for now, I’ve done a little photo recap below and I promise once things settle down I’ll get back to updating this a bit more regularly,
Hope everyone is having a good week,
