As promised here is my outfit diary from the weekend. I packed a lot more than I usually pack for a quick weekend trip, but that’s to be expected at Fashion Week.
I wore mainly high street as I explained in my last post and I stuck to my usual minimalistic taste with a pop of colour here and there. I’d love to hear what you guys thought of my looks, did you have a favourite?
I wore this look to my first show, Paul Costelloe. It’s a PrettyLittleThing Jumper matched with PrettyLittleThing Culottes, Asos Boots and my new Karen Millen jacket. Sunglasses are Primark and my Watch is Abbott Lyon.
I’m just back from the craziest, funnest weekend I’ve had in a long time at London Fashion Week. As you know from my last week, a lot of planning had gone into it, and I was so busy in the week leading up to it I found myself wondering is it really worth all the hassle? … The answer is yes.
We arrived in London on Friday afternoon and within an hour I was running to catch my first show of the weekend: Paul Costelloe. It was such a cool experience, it felt like something you’d see on TV. The atmosphere, the excitement and most importantly the clothes. I just knew from the second I walked into that first show that all the organising was worth it and I felt really lucky and excited to be where I was. If you follow me on Snapchat (lou1409) you may have caught on to my excitement over the weekend 🙂 Continue Reading…

I hope you’re all having a good week. This week has been so busy getting organised for London Fashion Week this weekend. Outfit and schedule planning is a lot harder than you’d think. This is my second London Fashion Week, I went for my first time back in September with no idea what to expect. This time with the experience of one fashion week behind me, I am a little more organised, although it really doesn’t feel like it now.
I registered as a blogger with the British Fashion Council and as a result have been getting lots of great invites to events, presentations and shows – so much so that I definitely won’t be able to fit it all in, but that’s not a bad complaint. At the moment I plan to be at the Julien MacDonald and Jasper Conran shows, the Palmer/Harding, Le Kilt and Aspinal of London Presentations as well as River Island Film Screening. Invites to shows are usually very last minute so I wouldn’t be surprised if my plans change again before the end of the week.
Outfit wise while I’m over I’ll be mainly wearing high street & online retailers (as always): Karen Millen, River Island, Oasis, Boohoo.com & PrettyLittleThing.com. Here is my second and last look from New York last week. I shot this look with Edelle outside the Plaza Hotel on 5th Avenue. I felt so glam in my All Black & Fur, the perfect outfit for a day of shopping, wandering and catching up with friends.
It was so nice to be back and to get a feel for New York again. There’s an energy in the city that can’t be found anywhere else. I’ll admit it takes some getting used to – my feet weren’t quite ready for all the walking and my body wasn’t prepared for the jam packed week that was organised, but I still left the city feeling rejuvenated.
I’ve said it time and time again but New York really is such an inspiring place, there is just a vibe in the air that “anything is possible”. One of the most valuable lessons I learnt from living in New York last year was that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. You have to see it yourself first and then make it your reality. Hard work and self belief can get you a long way 🙂
Your vision of where and who you want to be is the greatest asset you have.
