Spring Style

The neutral tones are back – and I’m so happy about it. Spring is finally in full swing here in Dublin: the skies are blue, the trees are pink and it’s about 2 degrees (ok, not quite Spring temperatures). Here I’m wearing a gorgeous grey leather jacket from Mint Velvet with an all-white outfit – the crop top is Topshop and the skirt is Zara, there’s a similar one here. This jacket has my favourite addition to my wardrobe in a while. I’ve never been a huge leather jacket wearer but this one is so soft and neutral – it’s easy to mix and match it with most things in my wardrobe. I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it this summer.

Playing Dress Up with Dorothy Perkins

Playing dress up begins at age 5 and never truly ends – Kate Spade

This shoot has to go down as the funnest blog shot I’ve ever done with my fab friend Niamh from Love Life Blog. We were asked by Dorothy Perkins to work together to create two occasion wear looks for the summer months ahead. What I love about this is how you can see both of our styles shining through. Niamh is working this “Suit Look” and I’m wearing a more feminine, girly look. I just love the fit of this pink dress; the skater shape, the midi length and the off-the shoulder detailing would be flattering on any shape. I paired it with nude heels  and a matching nude clutch for simplicity and added this pearl bracelet to finish off the look. Hey guys,

Happy Saturday! I hope you all had a good week. It’s mad how fast all the weeks are flying in to each other. It’ll be Christmas before we know it haha! I am excited for summer to be here though – and it’s really starting to feel like it lately 🙂

As you may have seen (whether you wanted to or not) I was involved in Frockadvisor‘s FI Day on Thursday – which involved Niamh and I running around to some of our favourite boutiques in Limerick for the day. We made it too 16 boutiques in Newcastle West, Adare, Limerick City and Ennis in just over 3 hours. I found out last night I won Best Instagram Engagement on the day 🙂 Woohoo! Continue Reading…

Hey guys,

I hope you all had a nice weekend – mine was very relaxed. I kicked it off with an amazing pampering day on Saturday. My skin has been all over the place lately, a few months back I stopped using face-wipes to remove my make-up (the mortal sin, I know!) and started using Garnier Micellar water. Thinking I was doing my skin the world of good, I was confused why I was breaking out after this change. I said I would pop into the Vanity Rooms in Stepaside for a facial just to clear out whatever has been going on – I went for the Express Dermalogicia Facial which is a 30 minute facial which focuses on cleansing and exfoliating using the Dermalogical products. The amazing Claudine talked me through everything, basically when you’re using wipes you’re pushing a lot of make-up and oil down into your skin. Changing to a different cleanser is bringing all of this bacteria back up and causing break-outs. I since have changed to Eucerin Micellar water, toner and moisturiser and I find it amazing. My skin is honestly 100 times better already!

After I sorted out the skin situation, it was time to hit the eyebrows. I’m honestly embarrassed to show you the below photo. The difference is insane!!! I went to Lorna Farrelly (The Brow Artist) who is officially the best Brow Artist in Ireland after winning the title at this year’s Image Business of Beauty Awards, which I also attended (see pics here). I’ve never had my eyebrows done like this before – they were threaded, shaped to suit my face shape and tinted – and the difference it makes to your face!!! I’m in love!!

I tried to keep myself as busy as possible to distract from the FOMO! I took advantage of the amazing weather on Sunday and said I’d for a Sunday Stroll in Dalkey. Sunday Strolls were something I used to do every week when I lived in New York – I would go off for the day, most of the time on my own, grab a coffee, listen to music and just go for a wander. It’s so relaxing and refreshing – I need to get into the habit of doing that more often here, there are so many cute little towns I’ve never been to. I work for Tourism Ireland – I should be on this!!

Hey guys,

Hope the week is off to a good start for you! I’m spending the start of my week up North at my work’s Northern Ireland office. If you’ve been following me on Snapchat you’ll see I was staying in Portrush, at the very tip of Ireland. I arrived on Sunday night just in time to catch the prettiest sunset, things like this get me so excited for summer! Continue Reading…
