Happy Friday!!!

Can you believe it’s almost August already? Where has the last year gone? I feel like this has been the fastest year of my life!!! I remember this time last year I was dreading coming home from New York. I really didn’t want to leave but I knew I had to, as the second year of my contract with Tourism Ireland was here in Dublin. My original plan when I came back was to get the next year over as quick as possible and go back to New York – which seems so stupid looking back.

I love Dublin now, it’s such a fun place to live. If you follow me on Snapchat (username: lou1409) you’ll know every week there are cool festivals and events and there are always new restaurants and bars to try. I did a list of my top ten favourite places to grab a cocktail in Dublin earlier in the week, you can see it here. I’m gonna start researching for my next top ten list tonight, my first stop is the Exchequer – who just won ‘Best Cocktail Experience in Ireland’ at the RAI Awards. Top Ten Cocktail Spots in Dublin

July 27, 2016

Hey guys,

With the weekend on the horizon again, I thought it was a good time to do a round up of something I’d like to think I have a lot of experience in 😉 Cocktail tasting!

There are so many great places in Dublin to go for drinks and I know sometimes it’s hard to remember where’s good or to think of somewhere new. Hopefully this list will give you some Inpso for places to go and encourage you to make some plans 🙂 It is summer after all!

  1. Harrys on the Green

This bar is located right beside Stephens Green shopping centre in Dublin and is known for its great cocktails. It’s a nice casual spot which is perfect for dinner and drinks. They have a big bar downstairs as well as an outdoors area so it’s good in summer and winter.

2. The Restaurant in Brown Thomas

If you seek pretty cocktails and on point decor this is the place for you. It’s a good place to come for some light tapas and a few cocktails. It’s a quiet, relaxed atmosphere – so a nice place to catch up with a friend you haven’t seen in a while. Of course the menu is a little bit more on the pricey side so it is a treat – but sure we all deserve a treat every now and then 🙂

3. Saba Dublin

Located on Clarendon Street and Baggot Street in Dublin this Thai Restaurant a great option for some food and drinks, especially for a group. The portions are nice and big – and the food is so delicious! It’s not easy to find restaurants where their drinks are as good as their food – but they are here. It would be a great birthday spot!

4. The Morrison Bar and Grill Continue Reading…

Festival Feels

Hey everyone,

Here we go – another week, another blog post 🙂 I shot this festival inspired look from Folkster a few weeks ago and it is featured in this month’s Xpose magazine. I’m excited to finally be able to share it with you. As I mentioned in my last post I have ticked 3 festivals off my list this summer, so I’d like to think I’ve gotten my head around festival style. I kinda wish I was going to one more this summer just so I could wear this outfit. I love the mix of the mesh with the cut out maxi skirt. The trick with wearing mesh is to find something cute to wear underneath – this bralet from Folkster is the perfect underwear as outerwear piece. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you may know I am partial to neutral tones – and the mix of the cream and white here is exactly what I love.

I’ve linked similar products below so you can recreate this look,

Anyway this blog post is short and sweet, I’ll be back later in the week with more,

Hope you all have a good week.

Louise x

It’s the weekend again… Thank god! This week felt long, I think the sunny weather at the start of the week just had me longing for the weekend since Monday! I can’t believe we are more than half way through the summer already. It’s flown – and looking back already it’s easy to see why.

Every weekend in the summer there seems to be something on. I’ve ticked 3 festivals of my list for the first time this summer: Forbidden Fruits, Body & Soul and Longitude. My summer started early in May with my trip to Ibiza, since then I’ve had a quick trip to London, but that’s been the extent of my travelling. My feet are getting itchy again and I’m ready for August and September. I have an exciting trip to Copenhagen coming up with DYRBERG/KERN in August and then my real summer holidays start on September 1st – this is definitely going to take the edge off the summer ending. I will be heading to Vegas and LA with a group of my closest friends and I literally could not be more excited!!!
