New Additions

Hey guys,

I hope your week is off to a good start today. The wet and windy weather was a sad reminder that winter is fast approaching. For the moment I’m hanging on to the last bit of summer, and getting wear out of some summery/autumn clothes before we lock away our legs in tights and our bodies in coats for the next 6 months (at least). I’m not a fan of winter… can you tell? Haha!

I wanted to come on and have a chat about my newest addition to my wardrobe, luckily, these additions are trans-seasonal. The first new addition are these rings from the new COMPLIMENTS collection with Dyrberg/Kern. Dyrberg/Kern is a Danish jewellery brand that I first discovered only a few months ago, and I fell in love (see some posts featuring their jewellery here and here). I visited their head office in Copenhagen last month and was introduced to their new collection. I’m so excited to be their brand ambassador for it!

If you’ve followed me for a while you will know I love my rings. These are particularly cool as you can change the toppers, you can mix it up every time you wear them. Each topper has a different meaning, so they really are personal and unique. They are super affordable too, with the ring bands priced at €20 and the toppers priced between €40 – €55. Here I’m wearing a wing topper which symbolizes hope, a grey crystal topper which symbolizes strength, a green stone which symbolizes sense and a gold spacer ring.  Continue Reading…

Hey there,

So September is shaping up to be a pretty good month for me travel-wise so far. On Tuesday evening I got back from a long weekend in Barca, which has to go down as one of my favourite trips this year. It’s a city I’ve been to a few times before, but it just never gets old. You have the beach, the city, the culture and (the best part) the weather 🙂

We arrived on Friday afternoon to clouds and a grim forecast for the next few days – but by Saturday afternoon the sun came out for us and stayed out. Our first stop was the rooftop Pool at the Ohla hotel for some cocktails and tapas. We started as we meant to go on. Continue Reading…

Girl Gang

September 21, 2016

Hey guys,

I hope you’re all having a good week. This last week was a great one for me. My 24th birthday was on Wednesday, I won ‘Best Fashion Blog’ at the Blog Awards on Thursday and left on Friday to spend the weekend in Barcelona (blog post to follow). September has been a bit of a whirlwind, but a great start to my new year (I talked a little about this in a previous blog post, see it here.)

There’s nothing quite like a birthday to remind you how lucky you are to have the people you have in your life. In honour of that I wanted to share my last post from LA – and probably my favourite one from the trip, because it features my friends!

You can pack for every occasion, but a good friend will always be the best thing you can bring!

We took these photos on our last day in LA – we went traipsing around the city to as many ‘Instagramable’ spots as we could, which is hard in LA, because there is so many! We took these photos on Melrose Avenue which has so many pretty walls like this!

Here we’re all wearing Penney’s shirts – they have such a great selection of them in store at the moment. The best thing about them is that they can carry you straight from summer into winter and you can style them in so many different ways – wearing them as casual wear, as we have here – or even to work.

After arriving home last night I’m slowly but surely getting my head around the fact that summer is over and winter is on the way,

Expect lots of changes in my wardrobe, and of course on the blog over the next while,

I’ll be back later in the week with more updates on Barcelona,

Chat soon,

Louise x

My Latest Beauty Haul

September 15, 2016

Hey guys,

If you follow me on Snapchat you’ll know I was given a €50 giftcard by TK Maxx to go on a bit of a Beauty shopping spree this week, a lovely surprise on my birthday week 🙂

You’ll probably know by now I’m no where near a make-up expert. I’ve definitely been working on getting better and learning more about it, but the make-up world moves fast and is so big – so I think the best tactic for the moment is to stick to what I know and love. I like a really natural make-up look most of the time. I don’t wear a lot of eye make-up and I usually don’t sport bold lip colours.

I picked up exactly what I love in TK Maxx, and at such a good price. I also was so impressed with all the great brands they stock. I got such good quality products for literally less than half the price they are worth. I spent a total of €51.94 but it should have cost me €117.99.

Check out the photos below with prices below to see what I got, and what I spent. I think I did good 🙂

Let me know what you think,

Louise x

Vegas and LA

September 13, 2016

befunky-collage Ahh where do I even start to tell you about this trip? I guess I’ll start at the beginning… We left on September 1st – Vegas bound with a 5 hour layover in Chicago. We would take advantage of our time and take a quick trip into Chicago city to start the adventure a little early (after all the city is less than an hour from the airport).

On arrival in Vegas we checked into the amazing Caesar’s Palace where we would stay for 4 nights. The rooms were so spacious, with a view of the whole strip from our window and the pool was just to die for. As I mentioned in a previous post there was such a great group of us and we really made the most of our Labor Day weekend hitting the most amazing clubs and concerts: Calvin Harris, Afrojack at Wet Republic and David Guetta at XS.

After Vegas, we hit the road for LA and after 8 hours (much longer than expected!!) we made it. LA was just like dreamland from the second we arrived to our seaside hotel, Venice on the Beach. With palm-trees lined streets and sunny days 365 days a year it is definitely somewhere I’d like to spend more time. I’d even consider living here, and at one point we all found ourselves admiring the Rancho Palos Verdes homes for sale and dreaming of potential futures! Following on from our trip my top tips for things to do in LA are as follows:

Hollywood Hills

September 12, 2016

Irish Fashion Travel Blogger fashion blog

Happy Monday guys!

I’m back to work today, jet-lagged and reminiscing over the past ten days which were seriously amazing! This blogpost highlights probably my favourite activity from the whole trip – the hike up the Hollywood hills.

We hiked the Hollyridge trail because we wanted to get as close to the Hollywood sign as possible, and as you can see from the photos we did good! It took us about 2 hours in total and was such an enjoyable way to exercise. If I could exercise that way every day I’d be the fittest girl in the world! Continue Reading…
