Back on it!

April 24, 2017

Hi everyone,

After a very indulgent few weeks (between Dubai, Positano, and the Style Awards) it’s time to face the fact that summer is on the way (YAY!) and I need to get back on that healthy band wagon.

For me, I don’t like to call it a diet. I just try and cut out the crap from my diet. If I am really craving something like chocolate I will allow myself a healthier alternative, and the longer I keep up with eating healthy the easier it will get. I read a good saying the other day:

Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going

My Favourite Time of Year

April 24, 2017

Hey guys,

I hope you’re all having a good week, and if you’re not, at least it’s a short 4 day week 🙂

I’m back from Italy and enjoying Springtime in Ireland. As you may have guessed from the title it really is my favourite time of year. The weather is getting warmer, the flowers are blooming and summer is on the horizon!

We always give Ireland a hard time for the weather – but hey it’s got lots more it can bring to the table, namely craic, cherry-blossoms and long, bright evenings. With the arrival of these cherished bright nights, I can’t help but look forward to the summer months ahead. I love summer in Ireland, and cannot wait for those random warm days we get when everyone runs out of work early to grab a glass of cider in the sun. There is no where in the world better than Ireland on days like those 🙂

I’m also excited that it is (almost) time to whip out the summer wardrobe again. I’ve started my summer shopping a little early this year, as you can see 😉 Here I’m wearing a white one shoulder blousegrey faux-suede skirt, a rose-gold chanel-style bag and black aviator sunglasses – all from PrettyLittleThing.

Have a great weekend guys,

Louise x

Positano Travel Diary

April 19, 2017

Hey guys,

Last weekend I travelled with Gerard to literally the one place I’ve ever been that I would describe as heaven on earth. It was the prettiest, most relaxing place with the nicest people and yummiest food (Pizza all day errday!)

It was exactly the kind of holiday I love. The village is still so authentically Italian, there is so much to look at and take in. I could have wandered the streets all day and night (if there wasn’t so many steps haha).

Where we stayed

I’ve had so many questions about the stunning hotel we stayed in, it was Casa Albertina in Positano. I booked on Hotwire.com – I’ve been using Hotwire for years but this has to be my best hotel find to date. LOOK at those views!!! It felt like something out of a movie.

Pink Dress in Positano

April 17, 2017

Hey everyone,

I got back from Positano yesterday, and I’m going to make a bold statement and say it was my favourite place I’ve EVER visited.

The buildings, the weather, the people, the food, the vibe, the flowers… it was just like heaven on earth. I can see why so many people go on their honeymoons there – it’s so romantic!  Continue Reading…

Sunrise in the Dubai Desert

April 3, 2017

Hey guys,

Back to work and reality, but my mind is still living in Dubai. I wanted to share one last blog post with you and some photos of probably one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to – deserted roads in the middle of the Dubai desert at sunrise.

We set off to the middle of the desert at 5am to catch this beautiful moment – an early start is not something I can be found doing very often on holidays, but it was so worth it. These roads were originally built with the intentions of leading to a compound, but they ended up never being used, and they are slowly but surely being washed away by the desert. You can get a better idea of what they look like hereContinue Reading…

Dubai Travel Diary – Part II

April 2, 2017

Hey there,

I’m just back from Dubai – and what an amazing week it was. It’s definitely somewhere to add your bucket list if it’s not there already. March was such a nice time to travel, it felt like the middle of summer at 25 – 33 degrees most days. I’m not sure I’d be able to deal with anything much hotter than that. It gets as hot as 50 degrees there in summer!!! How do people survive over there?!

We had the perfect balance of activities/ downtime which made it just such a fun and relaxing holiday. There’s so much to do over there I don’t think you could ever get it all done in one holiday. There is no shortage of amazing places to see, restaurants to try and of course sun to take in. We made a list of what we really wanted to do, making sure we made time to chill too – it was our holidays after all 🙂 If you read my Dubai Part I blog post you’ll know what we got up to from Saturday – Tuesday, and now I’m going to fill you in on the second part of our week, including a list of recommendations that we didn’t get around to trying this time!

Where we stayed

We moved hotels to the W Hotel in Al Habtoor City for our last few nights. This hotel was super modern with quirky, bright interiors and a young crowd – it was a nice change from our last hotel. The pool area was to die for – and the food was just amazing. I’m going to be starving for a month after this trip, trying to get back to normal eating habits will definitely be a struggle.
