Suited Up

August 29, 2017

Hi there,

I hope your week is off to a good start. This week is a busy one of planning and organising to get myself ready for the next few weeks. I’m off to Lisbon on Monday with Parfois for 2 days, before New York Fashion Week on Thursday – so outfit planning is in FULL swing haha!

I’ve really been enjoying my time at home the last few weeks, I have to say! I feel like I’m really getting the hang of this full time blogging business and am enjoying EVERYTHING! Today I went to the gym, shot 3 blogs, shot 1 YouTube, replied to emails, played with my dog, met Lauren for lunch, and I MIGHT even make it into town for drinks with the crew from my old work if I’m lucky. I definitely have a way better work/life balance these days then I used to have, and that was once of the main reasons I decided to leave work – so I’m happy it’s working out!  Continue Reading…

Autumn in August

August 17, 2017

Hi there,

Happy ‘One more day til the weekend’ day!

This week was a good one, it’s been my second week at home as a full time blogger and as you probably saw from my blogposts earlier in the week, I have lots of plans and yesterday I really started to feel excited.

For the first time in AGES, I’m REALLY enjoying what I’m doing, I’m getting on top of my work/ life admin, getting (a little) better at things and genuinely just feeling so motivated for what lies ahead.

I can come up with as many ideas as I want, and now I actually have time to follow up on them and make them a reality. It’s exciting. I feel like I’ve definitely made the right choice going full time with blogging.

Life as a Full Time Blogger

August 15, 2017

Hi everyone,

I hope your week is off to a good start – despite the crazy bi-polar weather, but hey it gave me a good excuse to drink wine last night so I won’t complain 😉

I’m using these quiet weeks at home to get my head around my new routine that is ‘full-time blogging’, and I have to say I am loving it. I’m figuring out my new schedule between meetings, events, emails, writing and shooting blogposts, and all the other random bits and bobs I do every day 🙂 I’m also getting stuck in to some things that I haven’t had a chance to in so long, and I’m loving the new sense of calmness that has come with it too. I have time to do things I’ve been neglecting for months like seeing my family and friends, working on some new things for the blog, and most importantly I’ve just been taking a little more me time.

Brought to you by Magnum

August 14, 2017

Hi there,

Happy Monday! I had the nicest weekend in Galway with my family – you may have seen on my Snapchat (username: lou1409) that some of my family from America were home, so we got to be tourists for the weekend and we went out to the largest of the Aran Islands, Inis Mór. There were 27 of us in total cycling around the island on the most beautiful of Irish summer days (we got so lucky with the weather) it felt like we were kids again! It’s not often these days I get an opportunity to spend so much time with my family so it was lovely. A weekend we all will remember forever!

After spending almost 3 years working in Tourism Ireland trust me I know how amazing Ireland is; how many amazing scenic spots there are to visit, how nice the people are and how it is literally the best place to be ON EARTH when the sun comes out. After the weekend in Galway I really want to make an effort to see more and spend more time in other parts of Ireland. Donegal is at the top of my list, can you believe I’ve never been?

Anyway, I’m in Dublin for the moment haha. I managed to catch another glimse of the Irish sun last week when I shot this look, brought to you by Magnum. It made me even more excited to be at home for the rest of the summer. The last month has been amazingly packed with lots of travel but I’m very excited to have some time at home now to enjoy what I can of the Irish summer and to get used to my new routine as a full time blogger (if you follow me on Snapchat (lou1409) you’re already on that journey with me!)

The new Magnum Double Raspberry are absolutely delicious by the way – explaining my big cheesy grin in these shots!  There are two indulgent new flavours out now, Double Raspberry and Double Coconut… So Dare to Go Double

You have to try them!!!

I’ll be back later in the week with more updates – have a great Monday,

Louise x

Seychelles Travel Diary

August 9, 2017

Hey guys,

Last week I got back from the most amazing trip to the Seychelles. If you are reading this there is a good chance you saw some of my pics and blog posts – there was quite a few 😉

I wanted to put together a Seychelles travel diary for anyone thinking about visiting – so I can share all the information I have in one place.

How did we get there from Ireland?

We flew with Emirates from Dublin to Dubai (8 hours) and then from Dubai to Seychelles (4 hours). So it was a long journey – but it flew (excuse the pun). I was happy out on the flights watching lots of good movies, enjoying good food and drinks and I even managed to get a few hours sleep (the starlit ceilings helped with that!) Continue Reading…
