Graduation Inspiration

August 28, 2018

Hi guys,

I’m back today with a highly requested blog post on graduation dresses. Firstly, congratulations on graduating!! It is a massive achievement! It is also a fab occasion to dress up for and it is nice to have a special dress/outfit that will always remind you of your day. I have tried to include some more unusual sites/brands in this blog post to give you some inspiration of different websites to find the right look for you and perhaps something a bit more unusual. I know some colleges request that you wear black so I’ve tried to include a few black options for those that applies to.

Hope this blog post helps you find the perfect outfit. Enjoy your day!

GHD x LuLu Guinness #KissThisCancer

August 24, 2018

Hi guys,

As you have probably seen on my social media by now, I have teamed up with ghd hair this year to tell you about their limited edition collection. They have been doing these limited edition collections for the past 14 years now and with them have raised over €10million for Breast Cancer Research. This year they have partnered up with LuLu Guinness for their first ever designer collaboration special edition collection – the ‘Pink Collection’.

The Pink Collection comprises of a gorgeous ghd air hair drier and a ghd straighter – both with gorgeous pink detailing and their own LuLu Guinness bag. The straightener is especially pretty with the LuLu Guinness lips imprinted on it. €10 from each tool bought goes to the Irish Cancer society as well, which is amazing. (If you want to donate, but don’t need ghd tools at this time, click here to make a donation of any amount – every little helps). Today, 6 out of 10 people survive a cancer diagnosis, compared to just 4 out of 10 only twenty years ago. Continued research, funding and support can hopefully get us to an even better place in the next twenty years. The aim is to transform Breast Cancer from a fatal disease (killing 689 annually in Ireland) to an illness that can be maintained longterm with treatment.  Continue Reading…

Jeans and a Nice Top – OPTIONS!

August 24, 2018

Hi guys,

It’s coming to that time of year again where we are dependent on our jeans for nearly every occasion. The weather has been a bit all over the place lately which means summer is slowly but surely slipping away 🙁

I know how hard it can be to find the perfect top to pair with your jeans when you need it so I thought I would put this post together that will allow you to get them ordered and have some options on standby.

Hope you can find something you like,

Back to School

August 22, 2018

Hi guys,

September is looming and for some of you that means back to college! If you got your results this week and are starting college for the first time – congratulations! I hope this post will help you build a wardrobe for college.

I loved my time in DCU. It’s a time where I got to experiment with my style and have fun with it, so don’t be afraid to wear what you love! I think having a few good basics for college is key to relieving morning stress.  Jeans, comfy flats and a big bag were all part of my college essentials.  A couple of cosy jumpers are also needed as the weather starts to turn. And we wouldn’t get far without a good coat in the winter would we?

I’ve included everything I think you’ll need for college below – hopefully it’s helpful,

Have great fun this year and enjoy it because it flys by!

Festival Fashion

August 16, 2018

Hi guys,

My latest shopping post is my second festival fashion blog post of the summer but a couple of you have messaged me asking to do another one as a guide for Electric Picnic. Festival fashion is my favourite – it’s the one time you can really go all out and have a lot of fun with what you’re wearing. Here are all my favourite pieces online at the moment for festival wear. I hope you find something you like and have a ball if you are heading to EP!

Winter Workwear

August 14, 2018

Hi guys,

I remember from my Tourism Ireland days how hard workwear shopping was. I would spend so much time and money trying to find pieces that were office appropriate, comfortable and still a little stylish. Not an easy task.

It’s also not the funnest thing to spend your hard earned cash on. I’ve found some really reasonable pieces online, ones that are easy to mix and match (which is SO important).

If you invest in a few pieces from each section I’ve highlighted below you should have a workwear wardrobe that will turn into about 50 different outfits. Nobody wants to be spending their early mornings outfit planning so I suggest sticking to the same colour palette (with the odd pop of colour, of course) that way it’s easy to co-ordinate no matter what you decide to put on while you are still half asleep.

I did a video with Laura from StyleSavvy.ie back in June talking all about Summer Workwear and some tips for putting your workwear wardrobe together – click here to watch, we’re hoping to do another one soon for winter workwear, let me know if you’d like to see that,

Anyway I hope you find this post helpful,

Happy shopping,

Louise xx
