Winter Workwear

August 14, 2018

Hi guys,

I remember from my Tourism Ireland days how hard workwear shopping was. I would spend so much time and money trying to find pieces that were office appropriate, comfortable and still a little stylish. Not an easy task.

It’s also not the funnest thing to spend your hard earned cash on. I’ve found some really reasonable pieces online, ones that are easy to mix and match (which is SO important).

If you invest in a few pieces from each section I’ve highlighted below you should have a workwear wardrobe that will turn into about 50 different outfits. Nobody wants to be spending their early mornings outfit planning so I suggest sticking to the same colour palette (with the odd pop of colour, of course) that way it’s easy to co-ordinate no matter what you decide to put on while you are still half asleep.

I did a video with Laura from StyleSavvy.ie back in June talking all about Summer Workwear and some tips for putting your workwear wardrobe together – click here to watch, we’re hoping to do another one soon for winter workwear, let me know if you’d like to see that,

Anyway I hope you find this post helpful,

Happy shopping,

Louise xx

Step into the new season: A/W Shoes

August 7, 2018

Hi guys,

While we are still weeks away from Autumn/ Winter – that hasn’t stopped all the new stuff hitting the shops, and judging from what I’ve seen they are selling fast. We still have a bit of time before we have to consider new-season coats and jumpers, but it is no harm getting ahead with new season shoes. In this blog post I’m going to briefly go through all the A/W shoe trends and show you guys my favourite online at the moment 🙂

Autumn/Winter 2018 is primarily about statement shoes: expect to see lots of bows, cowboy boots and brown (which is the new black!). Animal print is a massive trend across the board this coming season and there are lots of great shoes in animal print. Some of you may be happy or annoyed to hear that ‘Dad’ trainers are not going anywhere and are still a major trend. I wore my white ones a lot this summer so glad they can carry me into next season. A new style of heel to look out for is ones with square pointed toes- not sure about these yet but we’ll see!

I hope you find these trend led blog posts helpful- let me know if you want to see more of them!

50 Going Out Tops

August 3, 2018

Hi guys,

Anyone else running out of summer dresses at this stage? I have been on the hunt for some new going out tops which are my go-to going out look for Autumn. It is nice to get a few in your wardrobe ahead of the new season. Animal print is a big trend this coming season and you will see a few animal print pieces in this edit (and lots of it on the high street!). There are some fab shirts included as well which are such verstaile pieces to have in your wardrobe as they can be easily dressed up or down. I also love having a few good camis that can be worn as a top or worn under shirts and jumpers when it gets colder for layering.

Hope you see something you like and happy shopping 🙂

Loving Leopard

August 2, 2018

Hi guys,

This blog post is all about leopard print! The Autumn/Winter 2018 runways were filled with animal print so expect to see a lot of leopard print this coming season. If you want to get ahead of the trend but not sure how to style it then keep reading 🙂

Leopard print goes with so many colours and fabrics and can easily be dressed up or down. A blogger that I think wears leopard print so well is called @thefashionbugblog (worth a follow, I love her style) and she described leopard print as a neutral! While many of us aren’t that brave, I’m going to include some pictures (all from Pinterest) of the different ways you can wear leopard print.
