50 Winter Coats

September 26, 2018

Hi guys,

It’s officially coat weather and there are some really nice ones online at the moment. I think coats are definitely something worth investing in ahead of the Winter months as they are usually the most worn item in our wardrobe!

I love teddy style coats. I lived in mine last winter and it was so cosy. They go with so much too. You can never go wrong with faux fur jackets either. The mustard Missguided jacket below is a fab option for this season. Checks and animal print are two big trends and they can both be seen in coats this season.

Below you’ll find my top 50 coats online at the moment. I hope you find something you love for the cold months ahead.

Wardrobe Staples: Mini Skirts

September 20, 2018

Hi guys,

I’m back with another “Staples” blog post where I talk about the pieces in my wardrobe that I couldn’t live without, show you how I style them and include similar options for you to buy 🙂

Todays staple is the mini skirt. Although midi skirts are also big this season, mini skirts are always a staple in my wardrobe. They are especially good for the transitional season as they can be paired with or without tights and with cosy knitwear or lighter layers. They are also a good day-to-night piece!

Here are some ideas for how I’ve styled mini skirts in the past:

Autumnal Vibes

September 19, 2018

Hi guys,

I hope you’re all having a lovely week – how crazy is the weather today? I arrived back from Milan last night at 12am, and even then the wind was bad, it wasn’t the most pleasant landing – but it seems to have gotten worse and worse since then. Our gorgeous summer weather has certainly said it’s goodbyes – but that’s ok because with Autumn comes gorgeous Autumn clothes, and my birthday of course haha!

My birthday was wedged between two trips this year (not a bad way to celebrate it!). I was in Corsica last week and I’m heading to Milan later today on a press trip. I’m very excited to head to Milan and to experience the pre Fashion Week madness. I missed all the fashion weeks this season as it was just so busy, but I’ve promised myself I’ll make it in February. I just love any reason to get dressed up in anything you want, and to take in all the upcoming trends. Speaking of which, I’m very excited to be working with H&M again this season to show you my favourite pieces from their Autumn collection in shops now. There is a lot of burgundy, some checkered and of course some gorgeous ankle boots. With my life being as crazy busy as it is, I try to plan my outfits in advance so I’m organised and have nice outfits ready to go. Below you can see 4 different outfits I’ve styled up for 4 different things.

This outfit is for my brothers 18th birthday this weekend. I can’t believe he’s turning 18, my own 18th feels like yesterday! Here I’m wearing a cami top, ankle length slacks, snake print court heels, a faux fur coat and gold earrings.

L.K. Bennett x Preen Comes to Kildare Village

September 13, 2018

Hi guys,

I hope you’re all having a wonderful week. This week is my birthday week – and has been spent in Corsica, so I think it’s fair to say it’s been a great week. I’m also incredibly excited to be sharing these photos with you, and to tell you that the L.K.Bennett x Preen collection is coming to Kildare Village this weekend!

I remember seeing the collection last year when it was in stores, and I instantly fell in love with the dresses. The prints, the shapes and the colours are just so beautiful – you can tell they are high-end, luxury pieces straight away. It’s not often we get the opportunity to own one of these pieces for a fraction of the price, hence why I love outlets and vintage shopping so much. I am super excited to be able to offer you an even better discount with 10% off this collection and all full price items at L.K.Bennett Kildare Village (my birthday present to you 😉 ) all you have to do is quote ‘Louise Cooney’ at the till. (Valid on 15th & 16th of September only).

The L.K.Bennett x Preen dresses would be perfect for a wedding, a birthday, any special occasion you have coming up – and they’re something you would have in your wardrobe forever, and love forever.

On a more personal note, if you guys have been following my blog for a while, you’ll know how much I absolutely love fashion. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to be collaborating with such prestigious brands, on the week of my birthday. It makes me feel like I’ve achieved something very special and I want to thank you for always coming back and following along on this journey. And for the support. It really does mean so much.

It’s mad to think I’m coming up to 4 years blogging. I’m full time just over a year now, where has the time gone? It makes me very excited for the future, which is always a good thing as I move into my late twenties (wait, no, I take that back – 26 is still mid twenties right?)

Looking forward to sharing lots more fashion and style over the next year,

Have a great weekend guys,

Lou x

A big thanks to LK Bennett for sponsoring this post

Cosy Knitwear

September 11, 2018

Hi guys,

Happy Tuesday. I am really feeling the weather changing this week and have finally moved all of my summer clothes out of my wardrobe (anyone else hate that job??). The only perk is there is now room for new Autumn pieces! As you can probably tell I’m a little excited about the changing over of the seasons this year. You can read all about my favourite A/W trends here.

Today I’ve picked all my favourite knitwear pieces online at the moment. I hope you find some that you like and that new pieces to your wardrobe will make the transition to colder weather a little bit easier!

A/W Key Trends

September 10, 2018

Hi guys,

I hope you all had a great weekend, and that you’re all not as tired as I am this morning. I was in Clare for the weekend at Claire and Pip’s wedding and we just had the funnest weekend. Although Gerard and I were too tired last to drive back to Dublin so we slept in Limerick and got up at 5.15am this morning to make it up in time for work. I think tired is an understatement this morning. Anyway, I am only home for one day this week so I want to make the most out of it and share as much fashion posts as possible before I leave.

Today’s post is a general trend post for Autumn Winter. I am going to discuss four key trends,  including pictures from the catwalk to provide some inspiration. Then I will show you my favourite pieces online which I think best capture each trend.
