I hope you all had a great weekend, and that you’re all not as tired as I am this morning. I was in Clare for the weekend at Claire and Pip’s wedding and we just had the funnest weekend. Although Gerard and I were too tired last to drive back to Dublin so we slept in Limerick and got up at 5.15am this morning to make it up in time for work. I think tired is an understatement this morning. Anyway, I am only home for one day this week so I want to make the most out of it and share as much fashion posts as possible before I leave.
Today’s post is a general trend post for Autumn Winter. I am going to discuss four key trends, including pictures from the catwalk to provide some inspiration. Then I will show you my favourite pieces online which I think best capture each trend.
This first trend comes as no surprise to anyone as it is all over the shops and Instagram! It is one I love (you may have noticed that haha) and it’s a very versatile one too. Animal print can be worn by any shape, style or age and can be included in accessories or a full look!
This is how animal print looked on the catwalk:
My favourite animal print pieces online include:
Check is a pattern that I always associate with Autumn and it is definitely on trend this season. I think this is an easy trend to follow as most of us have something check in our Winter wardrobes already! Favourites from the catwalk include Versace who may have been inspired by Clueless or Erdem’s more classic take on the trend.
My favourites online include:
Western is the third new trend. Isabel Marant, Dior and Chloe are major inspirations for this Western trend. It includes studs, suede, Western style belts, cowboy boots and fringing. Prairie style dresses are also included in this trend and most are inspired by Chloe.
My favourite pieces online to achieve this look are:
Silks are another big trend this season. Although not like typical delicate items you may have worn this summer. A/W silks this season are bold and bright with vintage inspired scarf prints. This trend can be worn as a full look and I think it looks fab. However, if you want to ease into this trend begin with a scarf and tie it around your head or bag.
My favourite online pieces to help you wear this trend are:
I really hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post and it gave you some inspiration for your A/W wardrobe! Which trend will you be wearing this season?
I just can’t get enough of Autumn clothes at the moment, and as it turns out I’m off to Corsica tomorrow with Clarins so I’m digging back out the summer wardrobe to pack haha,
Keep an eye on my social media for updates and I’ll be back next week with more blog posts,
Have a great week,
