3 BIG TRENDS FOR SPRING

Hey guys,

Happy Sunday. I hope you all had a lovely, relaxing weekend. We need them in January after all of the madness at Christmas.

I was home in Limerick this weekend, and spent a lot of time browsing the online shops. You may have seen I posted a few discounts on my Snapchat (username: lou1409). I also started my outfit planning for Coachella which is very exciting!!! I’m looking far and wide (and starting months early) to put together 3 fab outfits I will absolutely adore for the festival. I also think it’ll be a good motivation to get back on the healthy bandwagon I’ve been trying to jump on.

For the moment, we are stuck in the midst of wet, cold January – but that hasn’t stopped me shopping for spring. This outfit is, for me, spring in a look. It shows 3 major trends: 1. Slogan Tee/Jumpers, 2. Cord skirts and 3. Coloured Baker Boy hats.

1. Slogan Jumper

All of the high street tops have slogan tees and jumpers at the moment – they were a big trend last season and they’re sticking around for spring. I picked this one up on Missguided with my 30% off code (LOUISE30). I love that it’s cropped – I can see myself wearing it with a pair of high waisted jeans another day too.

2. Cord Skirts

I have been seeing cord skirts and dresses (and baker boy hats – but we’ll talk about that in a minute) everywhere at the moment. I love anything that adds a bit of texture to an outfit. As we move away from the Christmassy velvet pieces that we saw so much of, this is a nice addition to your wardrobe. I picked this one up in Topshop and I know I’ll get loads of wear out of it.

3. Baker Boy Hats

Over the last few months we saw baker boy hats take over! Black Baker Boy hats in particular. For spring, we’ll see them come back in every colour and print you can imagine – and I’m not quite done with them yet so I’m delighted about this! I picked up two Cord baker boy hats in the past week – two birds, one stone

This one is from Missguided – don’t forget to use my 30% off code if you are going to purchase.

This week should be a pretty cool one, I have the Arnotts Spring Summer fashion show tomorrow – I can’t wait to see more trends for spring. And on Wednesday I am heading to Paris with Georgio Armanito launch their new Si perfume, which happens to be my favourite!!! Excited is an understatement, I still can’t believe I was asked.

Stay tuned on my snapchat (username: lou1409) for all the updates,

Have a great week guys,

Louise x
