I hope you all had a good week. I had an especially nice one this week with a mid-week break to Copenhagen, Denmark with the Danish jewellery brand Dyrberg/Kern. I was lucky enough to travel with my blogger bestie Lauren – who took these photos for me
It’s great having friends you can work with. That’s definitely one of my favourite things about blogging. I’ve lots of exciting projects coming up over the next while with friends so keep an eye out for those!
Copenhagen itself is such a gorgeous city. It’s the perfect 2/3 day break especially if you treat yourself to a stay in one of the many 5 star Copenhagen hotels in the city. I felt like we saw a lot of what Copenhagen had to offer in that time. My top three tips of things to visit when in Copenhagen are:
- Tivoli Gardens – we spent most of the day here on Thursday. It’s the oldest theme park in the world and definitely the prettiest theme park I’ve ever been in. I’ve never been a fan of roller coasters or heights and luckily Lauren is the same so we spent the day wandering, eating popcorn and enjoying the pretty surroundings. Oh and we went to the park’s aquarium. If you follow me on Snapchat (username: lou1409) you will have seen this – and you will know what big kids we are haha!
- Copenhagen Port – this is where I took these snaps. As I have been told it is the Danish answer to Templebar. It’s got such a great buzz with lots of outside bars and restaurants where you can enjoy live music from the promenade. It’s also got these gorgeous houses and lots of boats which make for the perfect photo opp.
- Vor Frelsers Kirke – The view from the top of this tower which in English translates to “Church of our Saviour” is well worth the 400 step climb. You can look over the whole of Copenhagen and get some fab photos. See my photo on Instagram here. Again, I’m terrified of heights so I didn’t last too long up here but it was well worth the climb.
I know Copenhagen is famous for it’s food, but with such a short trip we didn’t really get to experience it as much as I would have liked. It’s also quite a pricey city so we were trying to watch what we were spending. We stayed in the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel which is only about a 15/20 min walk to the city centre.
In the below photos I’m wearing an off the shoulder blouse from Sheinside, my absolute favourite River Island Jeans, my Lulu Cruz sandals (similar here), and a H&M straw hat. My watch and bracelet are from the brand we travelled with Dyrberg/Kern, as well as my chunky white ring (this is from their new ‘Compliments’ Collection).
