Hey guys, I hope everyone is having a good week. This week has been busy and as I mentioned I have two bits of exciting news for my blog.
From now on I will be using liketoknow.it (aka. Reward Style) – for those of you who don’t know what that is let me just explain a little. The Instagram obsessed people, like me, probably have noticed ‘liketoknow.it’ tags on bloggers photos, I have followed @liketoknow.it on Instagram for almost a year at this stage. I just thought it was a great way of finding new people to follow and getting some outfit inspo while I was at it. Only a few months ago I signed up on www.liketoknow.itmeaning that when I like one of these photos on Instagram I get an email with all of the outfit details, with direct links to shop the look. If I decided to purchase some part of the outfit sent to me in a liketoknow.it email, the person who had originally posted the image makes a small commission for selling the piece. It’s such a clever idea, as it saves people having to go on the hunt themselves but also makes Instagramming a business venture. So from now on when posting outfits I will include all the outfit details with direct links to shop both on Instagram and on my blog.
My second piece of exciting news is that I will be launching my new blog website in the next week. Finally getting the technical issues out of the way was great. I have been working on it for a while and it’s almost done, those of you who follow me on Snapchat (lou1409) will have seen a quick snap of it yesterday.
I have been using Weebly to host my blog since I set it up, and I’m really excited to move over to WordPress. Weebly is very basic and straightforward, it was perfect for me starting out as I was clueless and WordPress seemed so complicated. I’ve spent the last few weeks teaching myself through YouTube videos & online forums – which can be tricky at times. For someone who has never learnt anything about websites, coding, domains and all the other stuff that comes with setting up a blog – I have to say I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. A big thank you to Lorna who was my saviour. I’ll be able to do a lot more and I’m excited for a fresh new look, so I’m sad/glad to say goodbye to Weebly after this post.
