Hey guys,
I hope you all had a good week. If you’ve been following my Instagram or Snapchat (lou1409), you may know that this week was a crazy one for me spent in New York. As I mentioned in my last post I found out two weeks ago I would be going to New York for work, it all happened so fast I feel like I blinked my eyes and woke up in snowy Central Park. It really was as pretty as I remembered it.
A few days before I left my granny passed away
It was a really sad week for all of my family and definitely made me bittersweet about leaving. My granny was the heart of my family, she really was the best and she’ll be missed a lot. She was so excited to hear that I was going to New York, she used to love travelling over to visit family, so I did my best to enjoy it as much as I could with her in mind.
How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard

I stayed with my friend Lorna for the first few nights and stayed in the gorgeous Fitzpatricks Hotel Manhattan for the rest of my time. It was so nice to be staying in Manhattan and to really be in the middle of all the madness. It was like I had never left
I worked Monday and Tuesday and was so happy to be back in my old office catching up with everyone, not to mention the views. The rest of my time was really just spent eating and catching up with friends – my two favourite things to do! Speaking of catching up with friends, I shot this look with the fab Edelle Kenny who recently moved back to New York. I am in love with this Jacket from the River Island SS16 collection. A few of you had been asking me for the link to buy, here it is!
It’s always sad saying goodbye to New York but you can’t beat coming home. I’m currently in recovery mode after what has been a really hectic 2 weeks, I plan on having the laziest weekend of all time and not feeling a bit guilty about it
