Hey guys,
I hope everyone’s having a great October! I thought I would do a quick catch-up post, the last week has been so busy I haven’t had much time to blog so I thought I would fill you all in on what I’ve been up to.
Last week with work was a very busy one as I helped organise a big workshop we were having for all of our overseas colleagues. If you have me on Snapchat (username: lou1409) you would have seen I fit in a quick trip to Belfast before heading back down to Dublin on Thursday night for the Blog Awards Ireland where I was nominated for Best Lifestyle Blog. It was 1920’s themed and people really went with the theme which was fun – I guess people are in Halloween mode now so dressing up is easy! I wore this fab embellished dress from Cari’s Closet with my grey fur Stole from Zara.
I’ve also been trying to make my room a little more cosy and homely in Dublin – I finally made a trip to IKEA and got some of the bedroom necessities that have been on my list for a while (a rail, a stool, shoe rack, sheepskin rug, lots of candles). IKEA is one of those places that I just cannot go into and pick up ‘what I went in for’, but I’m ok with that
Yesterday I got two big ticks of my list as I finished the third section of the course with Teen Vogue x Parsons – only two sections left. And I handed in my last assignment for my Post Grad in International Business Development! One final year project to go and I’m freeee… I can’t believe how fast time is going. I’m the worst for wishing it away but I am looking forward to having a little less college work and more free time!
Last night I took a trip out to my old college, DCU, to meet with the current Style Society members and talk about my time as Editor of The Look and what I’ve done since. It was so nice to be back and to meet all the new girls and guys getting involved in the society. I can’t lie, I am slightly envious of everyone still in college. Especially in DCU, I had so many great times there. It was lovely to be back – I don’t feel old at all now!
It’s been a busy few weeks and on time as always, the annual head-cold has arrived haha! I believe it is almost time to start thinking about Christmas presents and all that fun stuff (Only 8 weeks to go!)
Hope you are all enjoying the short week after the bank holiday and have a great Halloween
Louise x
