Hi guys,
As you have probably seen on my social media by now, I have teamed up with ghd hair this year to tell you about their limited edition collection. They have been doing these limited edition collections for the past 14 years now and with them have raised over €10million for Breast Cancer Research. This year they have partnered up with LuLu Guinness for their first ever designer collaboration special edition collection – the ‘Pink Collection’.
The Pink Collection comprises of a gorgeous ghd air hair drier and a ghd straighter – both with gorgeous pink detailing and their own LuLu Guinness bag. The straightener is especially pretty with the LuLu Guinness lips imprinted on it. €10 from each tool bought goes to the Irish Cancer society as well, which is amazing. (If you want to donate, but don’t need ghd tools at this time, click here to make a donation of any amount – every little helps). Today, 6 out of 10 people survive a cancer diagnosis, compared to just 4 out of 10 only twenty years ago. Continued research, funding and support can hopefully get us to an even better place in the next twenty years. The aim is to transform Breast Cancer from a fatal disease (killing 689 annually in Ireland) to an illness that can be maintained longterm with treatment.
It’s great to see a brand like ghd using their hugely popular tools to raise money for such a worthy cause. So it’s a great time to invest if you are in need of some new hair tools, and ghd really are the best. I’ve been using them for over 10 years now!
Anyway, on another note, I’m using this opportunity of working with ghd to show you my favourite summer hairstyles, created using the new ghd tools. The first one was my boho waves – I couldn’t live without these in the summer. They are more relaxed and textured ghd curls. I sometimes pull these up into messy buns and ponytails – especially when I’m on holidays. It’s an easy, quick way to style your hair and make it look like you’ve made a real effort.

The next go-to style I showed you was straight hair. It would nearly be a sin to talk so much about ghd and not mention straight hair. It’s why I first fell in love with ghd over 10 years ago. Straight hair is just one of those styles that will never go out of fashion. It can make your whole look more chic and polished, and let’s face it, it’s so quick and easy!

I did tutorials of these simple but effective looks on my insta-stories, but incase you missed them, you can always check out ghd‘s YouTube channel where they have lots of hair inspo and tutorials.
If you want to show your support for the #KissThisCancer campaign all you have to do is upload a pouting selfie, tag ghd hair and use the hashtag #KissThisCancer – it’s a great one to raise awareness for.
Let me know if you buy the tools and what you think of them,
Lou xx
