Hi guys,

I’m just back from the craziest, funnest weekend I’ve had in a long time at London Fashion Week. As you know from my last week, a lot of planning had gone into it, and I was so busy in the week leading up to it I found myself wondering is it really worth all the hassle? … The answer is yes.

We arrived in London on Friday afternoon and within an hour I was running to catch my first show of the weekend: Paul Costelloe. It was such a cool experience, it felt like something you’d see on TV. The atmosphere, the excitement and most importantly the clothes. I just knew from the second I walked into that first show that all the organising was worth it and I felt really lucky and excited to be where I was. If you follow me on Snapchat (lou1409) you may have caught on to my excitement over the weekend

Saturday was definitely the busiest day of the weekend with my first show, Jasper Conran, starting at 10am. A 7:30am start after our Friday night out was not the easiest thing to do, but again, so worth it. I then met the girls for brunch at the coolest brunch spot in London, Sketch. Look at those bathrooms!!!

My next and favourite show of the weekend was Julien MacDonald. In the week leading up to Fashion Week my love for his designs really took off after seeing Gigi wearing this fab jumpsuit. The show was filled with so many amazing pieces – it really was a production, in the most gorgeous building, with the most beautiful models and guests. This show was a big ‘pinch me’ moment.

Other than the shows we managed to visit the Palmer//Harding presentation, the Belstaff presentation with Liv Tyler, the River Island Style Studio & the RI Fashion Film Screening (which was so much fun). Of course, we ate our way through London and fit in a few girls nights out too… Essential!

For me this Fashion Week really was the best experience. All the organising can be stressful but at the end of the day it’s a time to celebrate fashion and enjoy what it’s all about. Even since my last fashion week in September I feel like I’ve learnt so much and I’m really looking forward to continuing my journey in fashion and seeing what my next fashion week will bring

I’ll be doing a post tomorrow with all of my outfit details from the weekend so stay tuned,

Louise x
