Hi guys,
I’m so excited to work with GHD to showcase two of my favourite hairstyles at the moment – a slick straight look and a curly top knot. I’ve had the GHD for more than 10 years and use it almost every single day – to say I’m a fan is an understatement.
I have found myself being much more careful with my hair over the past few months. I’ve experienced breakage and damage and I’m so conscious to try and prevent that now. The GHD platinum rangeallows you to style your hair over and over with 50% less breakage so your hair stays stronger and healthier. There’s more styling opportunities with less chance of breakage and damage – it’s a win win!
GHD tools have tri-zone technology which is in our platinum and curve tools which means they are less damaging. 3 sensors on each plate distribute heat evenly and consistently and the 185degrees temperature setting is the optimum styling temperature (any cooler wouldn’t hold style and any hotter causes damage – I didn’t actually know this until recently! And its SO important!)
For the first look, I simply used the GHD platinum hair straightener. I divided my hair into two sections, then started straightening my hair. Naturally my hair is quite glossy but it has a definite kink that needs to be straightened if I want it to look sleek. It was a super fast and easy to do – and is how I wear my hair most days at the moment. See photos below to get a better idea. If you wanted to edge this look up a little, you could add some crimped waves to sections of the hair using the GHD professional crimper. I created a look using the crimper today, you can see it on my snapchat (username: lou1409).

The second look was a little bit more of a challenge. It’s always difficult to make a messy bun look like the perfect messy bun! I curled my hair with the curve wand and then gathered it into a bun. I pulled down some strands of hair around my face to curl and voila! That’s it.

I hope you enjoyed my mini tutorials. These looks are so wearable and easy to do, thanks to the amazing GHD tools!
I’ll be back soon with more,
Thanks for reading,
Lou x
