Ahh where do I even start to tell you about this trip? I guess I’ll start at the beginning… We left on September 1st – Vegas bound with a 5 hour layover in Chicago. We would take advantage of our time and take a quick trip into Chicago city to start the adventure a little early (after all the city is less than an hour from the airport).

On arrival in Vegas we checked into the amazing Caesar’s Palace where we would stay for 4 nights. The rooms were so spacious, with a view of the whole strip from our window and the pool was just to die for. As I mentioned in a previous post there was such a great group of us and we really made the most of our Labor Day weekend hitting the most amazing clubs and concerts: Calvin Harris, Afrojack at Wet Republic and David Guetta at XS.

After Vegas, we hit the road for LA and after 8 hours (much longer than expected!!) we made it. LA was just like dreamland from the second we arrived to our seaside hotel, Venice on the Beach. With palm-trees lined streets and sunny days 365 days a year it is definitely somewhere I’d like to spend more time. I’d even consider living here, and at one point we all found ourselves admiring the Rancho Palos Verdes homes for sale and dreaming of potential futures! Following on from our trip my top tips for things to do in LA are as follows:
- Visit the Beverly Hills hotel for Poolside lunch
- Take in the views at Skybar in the Mondrian hotel
- Go for a seaside cycle from Venice beach to Santa Monica Pier
- Wander Abbot Kinney finding colourful walls and cute brunch spots
- Enjoy a concert at the Staples Center
- Hike up the Hollywood Hills
- Grab a burger at In’N’Out
- Take in the sunset (and the celeb spotting) at Nobu Malibu
- Hit one of the famous LA bars and clubs in West Hollywood
- Window shop on Rodeo Drive
- Take some snaps at Melrose Avenue’s pretty walls
There is so much to do in LA there’s no way you’ll get it all done in one trip – I still have lots of things I’d like to see and do over there. Including the Hollywood Hills hike another 20 times please

All the clothes for the trip I got from the high-street and online, mainly Primark, River Island, Zara and Sheinside. I’ll link some of the bits below so you can shop

The girls and I were all using Otterbox phone covers throughout the trip – they’re just so durable and safe! I can’t tell you the amount of times we dropped our phones while taking the hundreds of photos we did and they all came home in perfect condition! I was using three cases in particular you can see them here, here and here. I thought I would include Dearbhla’s and Christal’s experience with the cases too, so you can get an idea of what they’re like:
“Otterbox cases are a life saver, they not only protect my phone from any accidents but they are super cute too. Love how you can get that new phone feeling from simply changing phone covers.” – Dearbhla (www.belleazzure.com)
“I love my Otterbox phone case. I usually wear more of a bulky case, this is thinner and my phone feels just as protected” – Christal

There is so much more I could say and tell you about this trip, but I thought a quick summary of what we got up to would be enough (alongside the huge amount of Instagrams and Snapchats we had been sending throughout our travels haha!)
If any of you would like more info of where exactly we ate, what we wore, how we got around, etc. be sure to drop me a message I could talk all day about it,
Chat soon,
