YELLOW BLOUSE AT GRAMERCY PARK

Here we are again… wishing the week away until Friday. This weekend was a busy one as usual – very different to the weekends I have at home where I just take time to relax. Especially because I am only here for one year, every weekend I try and fit in as much as possible – I can’t bare the thought of wasting a day.

This weekend I ticked off the last touristy thing I had left on my list for NY – I visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was cool to see it from so close and to get a better understanding of all the history out there. It was fun to be a tourist for a day in New York – it is a completely different experience then what you have while living here. A day was enough though haha – being a tourist in this heat is not easy!

The weekend started with a stroll around Gramercy Park on Friday evening with my friend Lorna where we shot these photos. With Lorna working here and me living just around the corner – I think we both agreed that this is our favourite neighbourhood in the city. The townhouses are so pretty and even though it’s right in the middle of Manhattan, it always feels quite calm around here. This park, as I mentioned before, is the only park in Manhattan you need a key to get into – so it’s always a great spot for some people watching.

I picked up this blouse in H&M last week, it’s perfect for summer evenings in NY and I love the 70’s style of it. All the outfit details are below:
